THE QUARTER INCH SEAM!   When it's important and when it is not.

Come to our June program meeting ready to sew.  Precut strips will be available to practice and maybe perfect that quarter inch seam allowance and our straight line sewing.  Strips that we sew will become blocks based on variations of a split rail fence block.  Completed blocks will be used to create Honor Flight , Project Linus or "Cheery" quilts.  So fill some bobbins with neutral thread, or maybe grab those spools of thread that are close to empty, to use on these fun little quilts.  Bring the usual sewing supplies.  Sewing machines can be shared.  We will have a cutting and pressing area available.

Kits will be available but if you have scraps to share, most patterns are based on 2 inch or 2 1/2 inch strips.  This would be a great time to become familiar with a walking foot if you have one for your machine.  Meeting starts at 7 pm but you can come early to have your sewing area set up.
